[[File:The mog.png|center|thumb]]

A.J. Franklin, also known as '''Boombox Guy''', was a UB student majoring in Psychology from 2019 to 2023. He was known for playing music through a boombox (speaker) on campus.

== Before College ==
During his time in high school, Franklin began "musical walks" as he preferred the sound of speakers over headphones.

== College Career ==
Upon joining UB, Franklin continued the practice of playing music on his speaker, quickly earning him the name "Boombox Guy." While some appreciated the music he would play, others openly objected to this practice and found it as a disruption on campus.

In his senior year, A.J. Franklin was elected as the student representative for the UB Council, with contributions to discussions on mental health, inclusivity, and other pivotal issues.<ref>https://www.buffalo.edu/ubnow/stories/2022/10/boombox-guy.html</ref> He also served as the assistant features editor for ''The Spectrum'', UB's student-run newspaper, and was a marketing student assistant for Blackstone LaunchPad.
